23 The Lord answered Moses, “Is the Lord’s arm weak?[a](A) Now you will see whether or not what I have promised will happen to you.”
24 Moses went out and told the people the words of the Lord. He brought seventy men from the elders of the people and had them stand around the tent. 25 Then the Lord descended in the cloud and spoke to him.(B) He took some of the Spirit who was on Moses and placed the Spirit on the seventy elders. As the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied,(C) but they never did it again.

24 So Moses went out and told the people what the Lord had said. He brought together seventy of their elders and had them stand around the tent. 25 Then the Lord came down in the cloud(C) and spoke with him,(D) and he took some of the power of the Spirit(E) that was on him and put it on the seventy elders.(F) When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied(G)—but did not do so again.

24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the Lord, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.
25 And the Lord came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

And as soon as the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied. But they did not continue doing it.
