Numbers 9:5-7

5 And they kept the Passover in the evening of the fourteenth day of the first month, in the Sinai desert. The people of Israel did all that the Lord had told Moses. 6 But there were some men who were unclean because they had touched a dead person. So they could not keep the Passover on that day. They came to Moses and Aaron that day 7 and said to Moses, “We are unclean because we touched a dead person. But why are we kept from giving the Lord’s gift at its given time among the people of Israel?”

New International Version
5 and they did so in the Desert of Sinai(A) at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.(B) The Israelites did everything just as the Lord commanded Moses.(C)
6 But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean(D) on account of a dead body.(E) So they came to Moses and Aaron(F) that same day 7 and said to Moses, “We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the Lord’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?(G)”
