5 They observed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month, at twilight, in the Wilderness of Sinai. The Israelites did everything just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
6 There were some men, however, who were unclean because of contact with a dead body. So they were not able to observe the Passover on that day. They went before Moses and Aaron on that same day. 7 These men said to him, “We are unclean because of a dead body. Why should we be kept from presenting the offering of the Lord at its appointed time among the people of Israel?”

New International Version
5 and they did so in the Desert of Sinai(A) at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.(B) The Israelites did everything just as the Lord commanded Moses.(C)
6 But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean(D) on account of a dead body.(E) So they came to Moses and Aaron(F) that same day 7 and said to Moses, “We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the Lord’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?(G)”
