²³Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ²⁴“This is what pertains to the Levites: ^(A)From twenty-five years old and above one may enter to perform service in the work of the tabernacle of meeting; ²⁵and at the age of fifty years they must cease performing this work, and shall work no more. ²⁶They may minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of meeting, ^(B)to attend to needs, but they themselves shall do no work. Thus you shall do to the Levites regarding their duties.”

²³And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, ²⁴This is that which belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in ^[a]to wait upon the service in the work of the tent of meeting: ²⁵and from the age of fifty years they shall ^[b]cease waiting upon the work, and shall serve no more, ²⁶but shall minister with their brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charges.

²³The Lord said to Moses, ²⁴“This applies to the Levites: Men twenty-five years old or more^(A) shall come to take part in the work at the tent of meeting,^(B) ²⁵but at the age of fifty,^(C) they must retire from their regular service and work no longer. ²⁶They may assist their brothers in performing their duties at the tent of meeting, but they themselves must not do the work.^(D) This, then, is how you are to assign the responsibilities of the Levites.”
