¹⁵ When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is to set out, after that the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them, so that they will not touch the holy objects ^(A)and die. These are the ^[a]things in the tent of meeting which the sons of Kohath are to carry.

³ and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ^(A)ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God with the Levitical priests carrying it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.

² And David said, “^(A)No one is to carry the ark of God but the Levites; for Yahweh chose them to carry the ark of ^[a]God and to minister to Him forever.”

¹⁵ And the sons of ^(A)the Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Moses had commanded according to the word of Yahweh.
