¹¹ They gave them Kiriath Arba^(A) (that is, Hebron^(B)), with its surrounding pastureland, in the hill country of Judah. (Arba was the forefather of Anak.) ¹² But the fields and villages around the city they had given to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his possession.^(C)

¹³ So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron (a city of refuge^(D) for one accused of murder), Libnah,^{(E) 14} Jattir,^(F) Eshtemoa,^{(G) 15} Holon,^(H) Debir,^{(I) 16} Ain,^(J) Juttah^(K) and Beth Shemesh,^(L) together with their pasturelands—nine towns from these two tribes.

¹⁷ And from the tribe of Benjamin they gave them Gibeon,^(M) Geba,^{(N) 18} Anathoth^(O) and Almon, together with their pasturelands—four towns.

²¹ In the hill country of Ephraim they were given Shechem^(R) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder) and Gezer,^{(S) 22} Kibzaim and Beth Horon,^(T) together with their pasturelands—four towns.^(U)

²³ Also from the tribe of Dan they received Eltekeh, Gibbethon,^{(V) 24} Aijalon^(W) and Gath Rimmon,^(X) together with their pasturelands—four towns.

²⁵ From half the tribe of Manasseh they received Taanach^(Y) and Gath Rimmon, together with their pasturelands—two towns.

Mishal,^(AI) Abdon,^{(AJ) 31} Helkath and Rehob,^(AK) together with their pasturelands—four towns;

Kedesh^(AL) in Galilee (a city of refuge for one accused of murder^(AM)), Hammoth Dor and Kartan, together with their pasturelands—three towns.

Jokneam,^(AP) Kartah, ³⁵ Dimnah and Nahalal,^(AQ) together with their pasturelands—four towns;

Bezer,^(AR) Jahaz,^{(AS) 37} Kedemoth and Mephaath,^(AT) together with their pasturelands—four towns;

Ramoth^(AU) in Gilead^(AV) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder), Mahanaim,^{(AW) 39} Heshbon and Jazer,^(AX) together with their pasturelands—four towns in all.

⁵⁷ So the descendants of Aaron were given Hebron (a city of refuge), and Libnah,^[a](B) Jattir,^(C) Eshtemoa, ⁵⁸ Hilen, Debir,^{(D) 59} Ashan,^(E) Juttah^[b] and Beth Shemesh, together with their pasturelands. ⁶⁰ And from the tribe of Benjamin they were given Gibeon,^[c] Geba, Alemeth and Anathoth,^(F) together with their pasturelands.

The total number of towns distributed among the Kohathite clans came to thirteen.

⁶⁷ In the hill country of Ephraim they were given Shechem (a city of refuge), and Gezer,^{[d](H) 68} Jokmeam,^(I) Beth Horon,^{(J) 69} Aijalon^(K) and Gath Rimmon,^(L) together with their pasturelands.

⁷⁰ And from half the tribe of Manasseh the Israelites gave Aner and Bileam, together with their pasturelands, to the rest of the Kohathite clans.
