20 You will give to him from your authority so that the entire community of Israel will obey him.[a] 21 He will stand before Eleazar the priest, who will ask for him by the decision[b] of the Urim before Yahweh. On his command[c] they will go out, and at his command[d] they will come in, both he and all of the Israelites[e] with him, the entire community.” 22 Moses did just as Yahweh commanded him, and he took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before the entire community.

20 Give him some of your authority so the whole Israelite community will obey him.(A) 21 He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring(B) of the Urim(C) before the Lord. At his command he and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command they will come in.”
22 Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole assembly.
