Numbers 24:19-21

Good News Translation

¹⁹The nation of Israel will trample them down
And wipe out the last survivors.”

²⁰Then in his vision Balaam saw the Amalekites and uttered this prophecy:

“Amalek was the most powerful nation of all,
But at the end it will perish forever.”

²¹In his vision he saw the Kenites, and uttered this prophecy:

“The place where you live is secure,
Safe as a nest set high on a cliff,

¹⁹A ruler will come out of Jacob^(A)
and destroy the survivors of the city.”

²⁰Then Balaam saw Amalek^(B) and spoke his message:

“Amalek was first among the nations,
but their end will be utter destruction.”^(C)

²¹Then he saw the Kenites^(D) and spoke his message:

“Your dwelling place is secure,^(E)
your nest is set in a rock;
