³⁷And Balak said to Balaam, “Did I not send to you to call you? Why did you not come to me? Am I not able to ^(A)honor you?”

New International Version

³⁷Balak said to Balaam, “Did I not send you an urgent summons? Why didn’t you come to me? Am I really not able to reward you?”

¹¹Therefore now flee to your own place. I said, ^(A)‘I will certainly honor you,’ but the Lord has held you back from honor.”

¹¹Now leave at once and go home!^(A) I said I would reward you handsomely,^(B) but the Lord has kept you from being rewarded.”
