33 And the donkey saw me and turned aside from me these three times. If it had not turned aside from me, I would surely have killed you just now, and let it live.” 34 And Balaam said to the angel of Yahweh, “(A)I have sinned, for I did not know that you were standing in the way against me. So now, if it is evil in your sight, I will turn back.” 35 But the angel of Yahweh said to Balaam, “Go with the men, but (B)you shall speak only the word which I [a]tell you.” So Balaam went along with the leaders of Balak.

33 The donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If it had not turned away, I would certainly have killed you by now,(A) but I would have spared it.”
34 Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, “I have sinned.(B) I did not realize you were standing in the road to oppose me. Now if you are displeased, I will go back.”
35 The angel of the Lord said to Balaam, “Go with the men, but speak only what I tell you.” So Balaam went with Balak’s officials.
