³¹ Then Yahweh opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw ^(A)the angel of Yahweh standing in the way with his drawn sword in his hand; and he bowed his head down ^[a]and prostrated himself to the ground.

¹⁷ Then Elisha prayed and said, “^(A)O Yahweh, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And Yahweh opened the eyes of the young man and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of ^(B)horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
