8 And the Lord said to Moses, ‘Make a poisonous[a] serpent, and set it on a pole; and everyone who is bitten shall look at it and live.’ 9 So Moses made a serpent of bronze, and put it upon a pole; and whenever a serpent bit someone, that person would look at the serpent of bronze and live.

8 The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole;(A) anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake(B) and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.(C)

9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
10 And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.
