⁸And the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.”

Numbers 21:8

New International Version

⁸The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole;^(A) anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.”

⁹So ^(A)Moses made a bronze^[a] serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.

⁹So Moses made a bronze snake^(A) and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.^(B)
