³³ Then they turned and went up along the road toward Bashan^(A),^(B) and Og king of Bashan and his whole army marched out to meet them in battle at Edrei.^(C)

³⁵ So they struck him down, together with his sons and his whole army, leaving them no survivors.^(A) And they took possession of his land.^(B)

⁴ This was after he had defeated Sihon^(A) king of the Amorites,^(B) who reigned in Heshbon,^(C) and at Edrei had defeated Og^(D) king of Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth.^(E)

¹⁰ We took all the towns on the plateau, and all Gilead, and all Bashan as far as Salekah^(A) and Edrei, towns of Og’s kingdom in Bashan.

⁶ You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink.^(A) I did this so that you might know that I am the Lord your God.”^(B)

⁷ When you reached this place, Sihon^(C) king of Heshbon^(D) and Og king of Bashan came out to fight against us, but we defeated them.^(E)
