³⁰ Then Caleb quieted the people ^[a]before Moses and said, “We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we are surely able to overcome it.”

⁶⁵ For Yahweh had said ^[a]of them, “^(A)They shall surely die in the wilderness.” And not a man was left of them, ^(B)except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

³⁶ except Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and ^(A)to him and to his sons I will give the land on which he has set foot, because he has followed Yahweh fully.’
