Numbers 11:27-29
Expanded Bible
27 A young man ran to Moses and said, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”
28 Joshua son of Nun said, “Moses, my ·master [lord], stop them!” (·Ever since he was a young boy [or One of his chosen men], Joshua ·had been [or was] Moses’ assistant [Ex. 17:8; 24:13; 32:17; 33:7–11].)
29 But Moses answered, “Are you jealous for me? I wish all the Lord’s people could prophesy. I wish the Lord would give his Spirit to all of them [Joel 2:28–29; Acts 2:16–21; 1 Cor. 12:27–31; 14:1–5]!”

27 A young man ran and told Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”
28 Joshua son of Nun,(A) who had been Moses’ aide(B) since youth, spoke up and said, “Moses, my lord, stop them!”(C)
29 But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets(D) and that the Lord would put his Spirit(E) on them!”(F)
