¹² The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and he shall offer the one for a purification offering and the other for a burnt offering to the Lord, to make atonement for the Levites.^(A)

⁴ For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.^{(A) 5} Consequently, when Christ^[a] came into the world, he said,

⁸ When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), ⁹ then he added, “See, I have come to do your will.” He abolishes the first in order to establish the second. ¹⁰ And it is by God’s will^[c] that we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.^(D)

¹⁰ “You shall bring the bull in front of the tent of meeting. Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull,^(A)

²² Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.^(A)

¹⁴ He led forward the bull of purification offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bull for the purification offering,^(A)

⁴ You shall lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be acceptable on your behalf as atonement for you.^(A)

⁸ Then let them take a young bull and its grain offering of choice flour mixed with oil, and you shall take another young bull for a purification offering.^(A)

¹⁶ The priest shall present them before the Lord and offer their purification offering and burnt offering

¹⁴ and they shall offer their gift to the Lord, one male lamb a year old without blemish as a burnt offering, one ewe lamb a year old without blemish as a purification offering, one ram without blemish as an offering of well-being,^(A)

²¹ Then Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the iniquities of the Israelites, and all their transgressions, all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat and sending it away into the wilderness by means of someone designated for the task.^[a](A)
