¹² They must rededicate themselves to the Lord for the same period of dedication and must bring a year-old male lamb^(A) as a guilt offering.^(B) The previous days do not count, because they became defiled during their period of dedication.

⁶ As a penalty for the sin they have committed, they must bring to the Lord a female lamb or goat^(A) from the flock as a sin offering^[a];^(B) and the priest shall make atonement^(C) for them for their sin.

⁸ Watch out that you do not lose what we^[a] have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.^(A)

¹⁰ For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles^(A) at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.^(B)

²⁹ The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone,^(A) for I always do what pleases him.”^{(B) 30} Even as he spoke, many believed in him.^(C)

Dispute Over Whose Children Jesus’ Opponents Are

³¹ To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching,^(D) you are really my disciples.

¹³ but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.^(A)

¹⁵ Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented.

²⁴ “But if a righteous person turns^(A) from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness^(B) they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die.^(C)

²⁴ The priest is to take the lamb for the guilt offering,^(A) together with the log of oil,^(B) and wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.^(C)
