³¹ The husband will be innocent of any wrongdoing, but the woman will bear the consequences^(A) of her sin.’”

¹⁰ “‘If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife^(A)—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.^(B)

⁸ But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil,^(A) there will be wrath and anger.^{(B) 9} There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil:^(C) first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;^(D)

⁴ For everyone belongs to me, the parent as well as the child—both alike belong to me. The one who sins^(A) is the one who will die.^(B)

¹³ But if anyone who is ceremonially clean and not on a journey fails to celebrate the Passover, they must be cut off from their people^(A) for not presenting the Lord’s offering at the appointed time. They will bear the consequences of their sin.

¹⁷ “‘If a man marries his sister^(A), the daughter of either his father or his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace. They are to be publicly removed^(B) from their people. He has dishonored his sister and will be held responsible.^(C)

¹⁸ “‘If a man has sexual relations with a woman during her monthly period,^(D) he has exposed the source of her flow, and she has also uncovered it. Both of them are to be cut off from their people.^(E)

¹⁹ “‘Do not have sexual relations with the sister of either your mother or your father,^(F) for that would dishonor a close relative; both of you would be held responsible.

²⁰ “‘If a man has sexual relations with his aunt,^(G) he has dishonored his uncle. They will be held responsible; they will die childless.^(H)
