⁶ Then they shall put on it a covering of goatskin^[a] and spread on top of that a cloth all of blue, and shall put in its ^(A)poles.

¹³ You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. ¹⁴ And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark by them. ¹⁵ The ^(A)poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it.

⁷ For the cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles. ^8 (A)And the poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the Holy Place before ^(B)the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day.

¹¹ And over ^(A)the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue and cover it with a covering of goatskin, and shall put in its poles. ¹² And they shall take all ^(B)the vessels of the service that are used in the sanctuary and put them in a cloth of blue and cover them with a covering of goatskin and put them on the carrying frame. ¹³ And they shall take away the ashes from the altar and spread a purple cloth over it.

⁷ And over the ^(A)table of the bread of the Presence they shall spread a cloth of blue and put on it the plates, the dishes for incense, the bowls, and the flagons for the drink offering; ^(B)the regular showbread also shall be on it. ⁸ Then they shall spread over them a cloth of scarlet and cover the same with a covering of goatskin, and shall ^(C)put in its poles.

Making the Priestly Garments

39 From the ^(A)blue and purple and scarlet yarns they made ^(B)finely woven garments,^[a] for ministering in the Holy Place. They made the holy garments for Aaron, ^(C)as the Lord had commanded Moses.
