⁶ This is what the Lord commands concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, ‘Let them ^[a]marry whom they think best, ^(A)but they may marry only within the family of their father’s tribe.’

¹² They were married into the families of the children of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of their father’s family.

^14 (A)Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For ^(B)what ^[a]fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what ^[b]communion has light with darkness?

³ and I will make you ^(A)swear^[a] by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that ^(B)you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell;

⁵⁷ So they said, “We will call the young woman and ask her personally.” ⁵⁸ Then they called Rebekah and said to her, “Will you go with this man?”

And she said, “I will go.”
