⁴¹ Also ^(A)Jair the son of Manasseh went and took its small towns, and called them ^(B)Havoth Jair.^[a]

^14 (A)Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, ^(B)as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and ^(C)called Bashan after his own name, ^[a]Havoth Jair, to this day.)

⁴ Now he had thirty sons who ^(A)rode on thirty donkeys; they also had thirty towns, ^(B)which are called ^[a]“Havoth Jair” to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.

³⁰ Their territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and ^(A)all the towns of Jair which are in Bashan, sixty cities;

²¹ Now afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of ^(A)Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub. ²² Segub begot ^(B)Jair,^[a] who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. ^23 (C)(Geshur and Syria took from them the towns of Jair, with Kenath and its towns—sixty towns.) All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.
