⁴¹ And ^(A)Jair the son of Manasseh went and captured their villages, and called them Havvoth-jair.^[a]

^14 (A)Jair the Manassite took all the region of Argob, that is, Bashan, as far as the border of ^(B)the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called the villages ^(C)after his own name, Havvoth-jair, as it is to this day.)

⁴ And he had thirty sons who ^(A)rode on thirty donkeys, and they had thirty cities, called Havvoth-jair to this day, ^(B)which are in the land of Gilead.

³⁰ Their region extended from ^(A)Mahanaim, through all Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all ^(B)the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities,

²¹ Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of ^(A)Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old, and she bore him Segub. ²² And Segub fathered Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. ^23 (B)But Geshur and Aram took from them Havvoth-jair, Kenath, and its villages, sixty towns. All these were descendants of Machir, the father of Gilead.
