^24 (A)Build cities for your little ones and folds for your sheep, and do what you have promised.”

¹⁶ Then they came near to him and said, ^(A)“We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock, and cities for our little ones,

³⁴ And the people of Gad built ^(A)Dibon, ^(B)Ataroth, ^(C)Aroer, ³⁵ Atroth-shophan, ^(D)Jazer, Jogbehah, ^36 (E)Beth-nimrah and Beth-haran, ^(F)fortified cities, and folds for sheep. ³⁷ And the people of Reuben built ^(G)Heshbon, ^(H)Elealeh, Kiriathaim, ^38 (I)Nebo, and ^(J)Baal-meon (^(K)their names were changed), and ^(L)Sibmah. And they gave other names to the cities that they built. ³⁹ And the sons of ^(M)Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were in it. ⁴⁰ And Moses ^(N)gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he settled in it. ⁴¹ And ^(O)Jair the son of Manasseh went and captured their villages, and called them Havvoth-jair.^{[a] 42} And Nobah went and captured Kenath and its villages, and called it Nobah, after his own name.

^2 (A)If a man vows a vow to the Lord, or ^(B)swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word. ^(C)He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
