¹⁵ “Number the children of Levi by their fathers’ houses, by their families; you shall number ^(A)every male from a month old and above.”

^62 (A)Now those who were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and above; ^(B)for they were not numbered among the other children of Israel, because there was ^(C)no inheritance given to them among the children of Israel.

¹⁵ and that from childhood you have known ^(A)the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁴ But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for ^(A)of such is the kingdom of God.

² “Go and cry in the hearing of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord:

¹⁵ “Everything that first opens ^(A)the womb of all flesh, which they bring to the Lord, whether man or beast, shall be yours; nevertheless ^(B)the firstborn of man you shall surely redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem. ¹⁶ And those redeemed of the devoted things you shall redeem when one month old, ^(C)according to your valuation, for five shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, which is ^(D)twenty gerahs.

⁴³ And all the firstborn males, according to the number of names from a month old and above, of those who were numbered of them, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.

^39 (A)All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the Lord, by their families, all the males from a month old and above, were twenty-two thousand.
