⁵⁸ These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, and the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begot Amram.

Rebellion Against Moses and Aaron

16 Now ^(A)Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with ^(B)Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men;

^17 (A)These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. ¹⁸ And these are the names of the sons of ^(B)Gershon by their families: ^(C)Libni and Shimei. ¹⁹ And the sons of ^(D)Kohath by their families: ^(E)Amram, Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel. ^20 (F)And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites by their fathers’ houses.

²⁰ Now ^(A)Amram took for himself ^(B)Jochebed, his father’s sister, as wife; and she bore him ^(C)Aaron and Moses. And the years of the life of Amram were one hundred and thirty-seven.
