^9 (A)Then God came to Balaam and said, “Who are these men with you?”

³ But ^(A)God came to Abimelech ^(B)in a dream by night, and said to him, ^(C)“Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is ^[a]a man’s wife.”

^20 (A)And God came to Balaam at night and said to him, “If the men come to call you, rise and go with them; but ^(B)only the word which I speak to you—that you shall do.”

⁵¹ Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,

²⁴ For ^(A)false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, ^(B)if possible, even the elect.

²² Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we ^(A)not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

^45 (A)Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold—the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.”

¹⁴ Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah, and said to him, “What did these men say, and from where did they come to you?”

So Hezekiah said, “They came from a far country, from Babylon.”

¹⁵ And he said, “What have they seen in your house?”

So Hezekiah answered, ^(A)“They have seen all that is in my house; there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.”

² So the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?”

He said, “A rod.”
