⁹ Then a man who is clean shall gather up ^(A)the ashes of the heifer, and store them outside the camp in a clean place; and they shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel ^(B)for the water of ^[a]purification; it is for purifying from sin.

¹³ For if ^(A)the blood of bulls and goats and ^(B)the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, ^[a]sanctifies for the ^[b]purifying of the flesh,

¹³ Whoever touches the body of anyone who has died, and ^(A)does not purify himself, ^(B)defiles the tabernacle of the Lord. That person shall be cut off from Israel. He shall be unclean, because ^(C)the water of purification was not sprinkled on him; ^(D)his uncleanness is still on him.

²⁰ ‘But the man who is unclean and does not purify himself, that person shall be cut off from among the assembly, because he has ^(A)defiled the sanctuary of the Lord. The water of purification has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean. ²¹ It shall be a perpetual statute for them. He who sprinkles the water of purification shall wash his clothes; and he who touches the water of purification shall be unclean until evening.

²⁶ For such a High Priest was fitting for us, ^(A)who is holy, ^[a]harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, ^(B)and has become higher than the heavens;

The Corinthians’ Repentance

7 Therefore,^(A) having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

²¹ For ^(A)He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become ^(B)the righteousness of God in Him.

Idolatry Cut Off

13 “In that ^(A)day ^(B)a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for ^(C)uncleanness.

²³ everything that can endure fire, you shall put through the fire, and it shall be clean; and it shall be purified ^(A)with the water of purification. But all that cannot endure fire you shall put through water. ^24 (B)And you shall wash your clothes on the seventh day and be clean, and afterward you may come into the camp.”
