^11 (A)“Whoever touches the dead body of any person shall be unclean seven days.

² “Command the people of Israel that they ^(A)put out of the camp everyone who is leprous^[a] or has ^(B)a discharge and everyone who is ^(C)unclean through contact with the dead.

^19 (A)Encamp outside the camp seven days. Whoever of you has killed any person and ^(B)whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves and your captives on the third day and on the seventh day.

Holiness and the Priests

21 And the Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, ^(A)No one shall make himself unclean for the dead among his people,

^16 (A)Whoever in the open field touches someone who was killed with a sword or who died naturally, or touches a human bone or a ^(B)grave, shall be unclean seven days.

¹⁰ “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean through touching a dead body, or is on a long journey, he shall still keep the Passover to the Lord.

⁶ And there were certain men who were ^(A)unclean through touching a dead body, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and ^(B)they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.

¹¹ He shall not ^(A)go in to any dead bodies nor make himself unclean, even for his father or for his mother.

¹⁴ how much more will ^(A)the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit ^(B)offered himself without blemish to God, ^(C)purify our^[a] conscience ^(D)from dead works ^(E)to serve the living God.
