⁵ and he said to Korah and all his company, “In the morning the Lord will show ^(A)who is his,^[a] and who is ^(B)holy, and will bring him near to him. The one ^(C)whom he chooses he will ^(D)bring near to him.

⁵ And the staff of the man ^(A)whom I choose shall sprout. Thus I will make to cease from me ^(B)the grumblings of the people of Israel, which they grumble against you.”

³ Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Among ^(A)those who are near me ^(B)I will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” ^(C)And Aaron held his peace.

¹⁹ But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: ^(A)“The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone ^(B)who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

^3 (A)They assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron and said to them, ^(B)“You have gone too far! For ^(C)all in the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?”

⁹ And they sang ^(A)a new song, saying,

⁶ and made us ^(A)a kingdom, ^(B)priests to ^(C)his God and Father, to him be ^(D)glory and ^(E)dominion forever and ever. Amen.

^5 (A)you yourselves like living stones are being built up as ^(B)a spiritual house, to be ^(C)a holy priesthood, ^(D)to offer spiritual sacrifices ^(E)acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ⁶ For it stands in Scripture:

⁷ So the honor is for you who ^(H)believe, but for those who ^(I)do not believe,

⁸ and

They stumble because they disobey the word, ^(L)as they were destined to do.

⁹ But you are ^(M)a chosen race, ^(N)a royal ^(O)priesthood, ^(P)a holy nation, ^(Q)a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you ^(R)out of darkness into ^(S)his marvelous light.
