²⁶ He warned the assembly, “Move back from the tents of these wicked men!^(A) Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away^(B) because of all their sins.^(C)”

Warning to Escape Babylon’s Judgment

⁴ Then I heard another voice from heaven say:

¹⁷ Therefore,

²² Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands,^(A) and do not share in the sins of others.^(B) Keep yourself pure.^(C)

⁵¹ So they shook the dust off their feet^(A) as a warning to them and went to Iconium.^(B)

²⁰ Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!^(A)

¹⁷ and none of the condemned things^[a] are to be found in your hands. Then the Lord will turn from his fierce anger,^(A) will show you mercy,^(B) and will have compassion^(C) on you. He will increase your numbers,^(D) as he promised^(E) on oath to your ancestors—

²¹ “Separate yourselves^(A) from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once.”^(B)

²² But Moses and Aaron fell facedown^(C) and cried out, “O God, the God who gives breath to all living things,^(D) will you be angry with the entire assembly^(E) when only one man sins?”^(F)

²³ Then the Lord said to Moses, ²⁴ “Say to the assembly, ‘Move away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.’”
