³⁹ When Moses reported this^(A) to all the Israelites, they mourned^(B) bitterly.

⁴ When the people heard these distressing words, they began to mourn^(A) and no one put on any ornaments.

¹⁷ Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears,^(A) he could not change what he had done.

¹² But the subjects of the kingdom^(A) will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”^(B)
