² And all the people of Israel ^(A)grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The whole congregation said to them, “Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or ^(B)would that we had died in this wilderness!

²⁴ And the people ^(A)grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”

⁴¹ But on the next day all the congregation of the people of Israel ^(A)grumbled against Moses and against Aaron, saying, “You have killed the people of the Lord.”

³ But the people thirsted there for water, and ^(A)the people grumbled against Moses and said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”

¹⁶ These are grumblers, malcontents, ^(A)following their own sinful desires; ^(B)they are loud-mouthed boasters, ^(C)showing favoritism to gain advantage.

¹⁴ Do all things ^(A)without grumbling or ^(B)disputing, ¹⁵ that you may be blameless and innocent, ^(C)children of God ^(D)without blemish ^(E)in the midst of ^(F)a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine ^(G)as lights in the world,

¹⁰ nor grumble, ^(A)as some of them did and ^(B)were destroyed by ^(C)the Destroyer.

²⁷ “How long shall ^(A)this wicked congregation grumble against me? ^(B)I have heard the grumblings of the people of Israel, which they grumble against me. ²⁸ Say to them, ^(C)‘As I live, declares the Lord, ^(D)what you have said in my hearing I will do to you: ^29 (E)your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness, and ^(F)of all your number, listed in the census ^(G)from twenty years old and upward, who have grumbled against me,

² And the whole congregation of the people of Israel ^(A)grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, ³ and the people of Israel said to them, ^(B)“Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, ^(C)when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
