^23 (A)Then they came to the ^[a]Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with one cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole. They also brought some of the pomegranates and figs.

⁹ For ^(A)when they went up to the Valley of Eshcol and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, so that they did not go into the land which the Lord had given them.

²⁴ The place was called the Valley of ^[a]Eshcol, because of the cluster which the men of Israel cut down there.

⁴ Afterward it happened that he loved a woman in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.

^24 (A)And they departed and went up into the mountains, and came to the Valley of Eshcol, and spied it out. ²⁵ They also took some of the fruit of the land in their hands and brought it down to us; and they brought back word to us, saying, ‘It is a ^(B)good land which the Lord our God is giving us.’
