⁴⁹ “Only the tribe of Levi you shall not list, and you shall not take a census of them among the people of Israel.

⁶² And those listed were ^(A)23,000, every male from a month old and upward. For ^(B)they were not listed among the people of Israel, because ^(C)there was no inheritance given to them among the people of Israel.

³³ But ^(A)the Levites were not listed among the people of Israel, as the Lord commanded Moses.
