³⁸ From the ^(A)children of Dan, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers’ house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:

²³ The son of Dan was ^[a]Hushim.

⁴² These are the sons of Dan according to their families: of ^[a]Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan according to their families. ⁴³ All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those who were numbered of them, were sixty-four thousand four hundred.

⁵ And Bilhah conceived and bore Jacob a son. ⁶ Then Rachel said, “God has ^(A)judged my case; and He has also heard my voice and given me a son.” Therefore she called his name ^[a]Dan.
