³⁶ From the ^(A)children of Benjamin, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers’ house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:

¹⁷ Of Benjamin: Eliada a mighty man of valor, and with him two hundred thousand men armed with bow and shield;

^38 (A)The sons of Benjamin according to their families were: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of ^(B)Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites; ³⁹ of ^(C)Shupham,^[a] the family of the Shuphamites; of ^[b]Hupham, the family of the Huphamites. ⁴⁰ And the sons of Bela were ^[c]Ard and Naaman: ^(D)of Ard, the family of the Ardites; of Naaman, the family of the Naamites. ⁴¹ These are the sons of Benjamin according to their families; and those who were numbered of them were forty-five thousand six hundred.

^21 (A)The sons of Benjamin were Belah, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, ^(B)Ehi, Rosh, ^(C)Muppim, ^[a]Huppim, and Ard.

²⁰ And we said to my lord, ‘We have a father, an old man, and ^(A)a child of his old age, who is young; his brother is ^(B)dead, and he ^(C)alone is left of his mother’s children, and his ^(D)father loves him.’

Death of Rachel

¹⁶ Then they journeyed from Bethel. And when there was but a little distance to go to Ephrath, Rachel labored in childbirth, and she had hard labor. ¹⁷ Now it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said to her, “Do not fear; ^(A)you will have this son also.” ¹⁸ And so it was, as her soul was departing (for she died), that she called his name ^[a]Ben-Oni; but his father called him ^[b]Benjamin.
