⁴⁹ John answered, “Master, we saw someone using your name to ·force [drive; cast] demons out of people. We told him to stop, because he ·does not belong to our group [^Ldoes not follow with us].”

⁸ God, who knows the ·thoughts of everyone [^Lheart], ·accepted [showed his approval of; ^Ltestified for] them. He showed this to us by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he did to us.
