Numbers 20:18

¹⁸And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.

Numbers 20:18

New International Version

¹⁸But Edom^(A) answered:

“You may not pass through here; if you try, we will march out and attack you with the sword.^(B)”

²⁰And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.

²⁰Again they answered:

“You may not pass through.^(A)”

Then Edom^(B) came out against them with a large and powerful army.
