¹⁰ Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, ^(A)and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

¹⁸ Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, ¹⁹ and the ^(A)cares of this world, ^(B)the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
