Priests and Levites
12 These were the priests(A) and Levites(B) who returned with Zerubbabel(C) son of Shealtiel(D) and with Joshua:(E)
Seraiah,(F) Jeremiah, Ezra,
2 Amariah, Malluk, Hattush,
3 Shekaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
4 Iddo,(G) Ginnethon,[a] Abijah,(H)
5 Mijamin,[b] Moadiah, Bilgah,
6 Shemaiah, Joiarib, Jedaiah,(I)
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah and Jedaiah.
These were the leaders of the priests and their associates in the days of Joshua.
8 The Levites were Jeshua,(J) Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and also Mattaniah,(K) who, together with his associates, was in charge of the songs of thanksgiving. 9 Bakbukiah and Unni, their associates, stood opposite them in the services.
10 Joshua was the father of Joiakim, Joiakim the father of Eliashib,(L) Eliashib the father of Joiada, 11 Joiada the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan the father of Jaddua.
12 In the days of Joiakim, these were the heads of the priestly families:
of Seraiah’s family, Meraiah;
of Jeremiah’s, Hananiah;
13 of Ezra’s, Meshullam;
of Amariah’s, Jehohanan;
14 of Malluk’s, Jonathan;
of Shekaniah’s,[c] Joseph;
15 of Harim’s, Adna;
of Meremoth’s,[d] Helkai;
16 of Iddo’s,(M) Zechariah;
of Ginnethon’s, Meshullam;
17 of Abijah’s,(N) Zikri;
of Miniamin’s and of Moadiah’s, Piltai;
18 of Bilgah’s, Shammua;
of Shemaiah’s, Jehonathan;
19 of Joiarib’s, Mattenai;
of Jedaiah’s, Uzzi;
20 of Sallu’s, Kallai;
of Amok’s, Eber;
21 of Hilkiah’s, Hashabiah;
of Jedaiah’s, Nethanel.
22 The family heads of the Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan and Jaddua, as well as those of the priests, were recorded in the reign of Darius the Persian. 23 The family heads among the descendants of Levi up to the time of Johanan son of Eliashib were recorded in the book of the annals. 24 And the leaders of the Levites(O) were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua son of Kadmiel, and their associates, who stood opposite them to give praise and thanksgiving, one section responding to the other, as prescribed by David the man of God.(P)
25 Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were gatekeepers who guarded the storerooms at the gates. 26 They served in the days of Joiakim son of Joshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor and of Ezra the priest, the teacher of the Law.
Dedication of the Wall of Jerusalem
27 At the dedication(Q) of the wall of Jerusalem, the Levites were sought out from where they lived and were brought to Jerusalem to celebrate joyfully the dedication with songs of thanksgiving and with the music of cymbals,(R) harps and lyres.(S) 28 The musicians also were brought together from the region around Jerusalem—from the villages of the Netophathites,(T) 29 from Beth Gilgal, and from the area of Geba and Azmaveth, for the musicians had built villages for themselves around Jerusalem. 30 When the priests and Levites had purified themselves ceremonially, they purified the people,(U) the gates and the wall.
31 I had the leaders of Judah go up on top of[e] the wall. I also assigned two large choirs to give thanks. One was to proceed on top of[f] the wall to the right, toward the Dung Gate.(V) 32 Hoshaiah and half the leaders of Judah followed them, 33 along with Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam, 34 Judah, Benjamin,(W) Shemaiah, Jeremiah, 35 as well as some priests with trumpets,(X) and also Zechariah son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zakkur, the son of Asaph, 36 and his associates—Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah and Hanani—with musical instruments(Y) prescribed by David the man of God.(Z) Ezra(AA) the teacher of the Law led the procession. 37 At the Fountain Gate(AB) they continued directly up the steps of the City of David on the ascent to the wall and passed above the site of David’s palace to the Water Gate(AC) on the east.
38 The second choir proceeded in the opposite direction. I followed them on top of[g] the wall, together with half the people—past the Tower of the Ovens(AD) to the Broad Wall,(AE) 39 over the Gate of Ephraim,(AF) the Jeshanah[h] Gate,(AG) the Fish Gate,(AH) the Tower of Hananel(AI) and the Tower of the Hundred,(AJ) as far as the Sheep Gate.(AK) At the Gate of the Guard they stopped.
40 The two choirs that gave thanks then took their places in the house of God; so did I, together with half the officials, 41 as well as the priests—Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah and Hananiah with their trumpets— 42 and also Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malkijah, Elam and Ezer. The choirs sang under the direction of Jezrahiah. 43 And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced. The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away.
44 At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms(AL) for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes.(AM) From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites.(AN) 45 They performed the service of their God and the service of purification, as did also the musicians and gatekeepers, according to the commands of David(AO) and his son Solomon.(AP) 46 For long ago, in the days of David and Asaph,(AQ) there had been directors for the musicians and for the songs of praise(AR) and thanksgiving to God. 47 So in the days of Zerubbabel and of Nehemiah, all Israel contributed the daily portions for the musicians and the gatekeepers. They also set aside the portion for the other Levites, and the Levites set aside the portion for the descendants of Aaron.(AS)

Sacerdotes y levitas
12 Estos son los sacerdotes y levitas que subieron con Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, y con Jesúa: Seraías, Jeremías, Esdras, 2 Amarías, Maluc, Hatús, 3 Secanías, Rehum, Meremot, 4 Iddo, Gineto, Abías, 5 Mijamín, Maadías, Bilga, 6 Semaías, Joiarib, Jedaías, 7 Salú, Amoc, Hilcías y Jedaías. Estos eran los príncipes de los sacerdotes y sus hermanos en los días de Jesúa. 8 Y los levitas: Jesúa, Binúi, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá y Matanías, que con sus hermanos oficiaba en los cantos de alabanza. 9 Y Bacbuquías y Uni, sus hermanos, cada cual en su ministerio.
10 Jesúa engendró a Joiacim, y Joiacim engendró a Eliasib, y Eliasib engendró a Joiada; 11 Joiada engendró a Jonatán, y Jonatán engendró a Jadúa. 12 Y en los días de Joiacim los sacerdotes jefes de familias fueron: de Seraías, Meraías; de Jeremías, Hananías; 13 de Esdras, Mesulam; de Amarías, Johanán; 14 de Melicú, Jonatán; de Sebanías, José; 15 de Harim, Adna; de Meraiot, Helcai; 16 de Iddo, Zacarías; de Ginetón, Mesulam; 17 de Abías, Zicri; de Miniamín, de Moadías, Piltai; 18 de Bilga, Samúa; de Semaías, Jonatán; 19 de Joiarib, Matenai; de Jedaías, Uzi; 20 de Salai, Calai; de Amoc, Eber; 21 de Hilcías, Hasabías; de Jedaías, Natanael.
22 Los levitas en días de Eliasib, de Joiada, de Johanán y de Jadúa fueron inscritos por jefes de familias; también los sacerdotes, hasta el reinado de Darío el persa. 23 Los hijos de Leví, jefes de familias, fueron inscritos en el libro de las crónicas hasta los días de Johanán hijo de Eliasib. 24 Los principales de los levitas: Hasabías, Serebías, Jesúa hijo de Cadmiel, y sus hermanos delante de ellos, para alabar y dar gracias, conforme al estatuto de David varón de Dios, guardando su turno. 25 Matanías, Bacbuquías, Obadías, Mesulam, Talmón y Acub, guardas, eran porteros para la guardia a las entradas de las puertas. 26 Estos fueron en los días de Joiacim hijo de Jesúa, hijo de Josadac, y en los días del gobernador Nehemías y del sacerdote Esdras, escriba.
Dedicación del muro
27 Para la dedicación del muro de Jerusalén, buscaron a los levitas de todos sus lugares para traerlos a Jerusalén, para hacer la dedicación y la fiesta con alabanzas y con cánticos, con címbalos, salterios y cítaras. 28 Y fueron reunidos los hijos de los cantores, así de la región alrededor de Jerusalén como de las aldeas de los netofatitas; 29 y de la casa de Gilgal, y de los campos de Geba y de Azmavet; porque los cantores se habían edificado aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén. 30 Y se purificaron los sacerdotes y los levitas; y purificaron al pueblo, y las puertas, y el muro. 31 Hice luego subir a los príncipes de Judá sobre el muro, y puse dos coros grandes que fueron en procesión; el uno a la derecha, sobre el muro, hacia la puerta del Muladar. 32 E iba tras de ellos Osaías con la mitad de los príncipes de Judá, 33 y Azarías, Esdras, Mesulam, 34 Judá y Benjamín, Semaías y Jeremías. 35 Y de los hijos de los sacerdotes iban con trompetas Zacarías hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Asaf; 36 y sus hermanos Semaías, Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Natanael, Judá y Hanani, con los instrumentos musicales de David varón de Dios; y el escriba Esdras delante de ellos. 37 Y a la puerta de la Fuente, en frente de ellos, subieron por las gradas de la ciudad de David, por la subida del muro, desde la casa de David hasta la puerta de las Aguas, al oriente. 38 El segundo coro iba del lado opuesto, y yo en pos de él, con la mitad del pueblo sobre el muro, desde la torre de los Hornos hasta el muro ancho; 39 y desde la puerta de Efraín hasta la puerta Vieja y a la puerta del Pescado, y la torre de Hananeel, y la torre de Hamea, hasta la puerta de las Ovejas; y se detuvieron en la puerta de la Cárcel. 40 Llegaron luego los dos coros a la casa de Dios; y yo, y la mitad de los oficiales conmigo, 41 y los sacerdotes Eliacim, Maaseías, Miniamín, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarías y Hananías, con trompetas; 42 y Maasías, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzi, Johanán, Malquías, Elam y Ezer. Y los cantores cantaban en alta voz, e Izrahías era el director. 43 Y sacrificaron aquel día numerosas víctimas, y se regocijaron, porque Dios los había recreado con grande contentamiento; se alegraron también las mujeres y los niños; y el alborozo de Jerusalén fue oído desde lejos.
Porciones para sacerdotes y levitas
44 En aquel día fueron puestos varones sobre las cámaras de los tesoros, de las ofrendas, de las primicias y de los diezmos, para recoger en ellas, de los ejidos de las ciudades, las porciones legales para los sacerdotes y levitas; porque era grande el gozo de Judá con respecto a los sacerdotes y levitas que servían. 45 Y habían cumplido el servicio de su Dios, y el servicio de la expiación, como también los cantores(A) y los porteros,(B) conforme al estatuto de David y de Salomón su hijo. 46 Porque desde el tiempo de David y de Asaf, ya de antiguo, había un director de cantores para los cánticos y alabanzas y acción de gracias a Dios. 47 Y todo Israel en días de Zorobabel y en días de Nehemías daba alimentos a los cantores y a los porteros, cada cosa en su día; consagraban asimismo sus porciones a los levitas, y los levitas consagraban parte a los hijos de Aarón.

12 Ang mga ito ang mga pari at ang mga Levita na umahong kasama ni Zerubabel na anak ni Shealtiel, at ni Jeshua: sina Seraya, Jeremias, Ezra;
2 Amarias; Malluc, Hatus;
3 Shecanias, Rehum, Meremot;
4 Iddo, Ginetoi, Abias;
5 Mijamin, Maadias, Bilga;

Talaan ng Sambahayan ng mga Pari at mga Levita
22 Tungkol sa mga Levita, sa mga araw nina Eliasib, Joiada, Johanan, at ni Jadua, ay naitala ang mga puno ng mga sambahayan ng mga ninuno; gayundin ang mga pari hanggang sa paghahari ni Dario na taga-Persia.
23 Ang mga anak ni Levi, na mga puno ng mga sambahayan ng mga magulang ay nakasulat sa Aklat ng mga Kasaysayan hanggang sa mga araw ni Johanan na anak ni Eliasib.
Ang Pagbabaha-bahagi ng mga Gawain sa Templo
24 Ang mga puno ng mga Levita: sina Hashabias, Sherebias, at si Jeshua na anak ni Cadmiel, at ang kanilang mga kapatid na naglingkod sa tapat nila upang magpuri at magpasalamat, ayon sa utos ni David na tao ng Diyos, pangkat sa bawat pangkat.
25 Sina Matanias, Bakbukias, Obadias, Mesulam, Talmon, at Akub ay mga bantay-pinto, na nagbabantay sa mga kamalig na nasa malapit sa pintuan.
26 Ang mga ito'y sa mga araw ni Joiakim na anak ni Jeshua, na anak ni Josadak, at sa mga araw ni Nehemias na tagapamahala at ng paring si Ezra na eskriba.
Itinalaga ni Nehemias ang Pader ng Lunsod
27 Sa pagtatalaga ng pader ng Jerusalem ay kanilang hinanap ang mga Levita sa lahat nilang mga dako, upang dalhin sila sa Jerusalem at ipagdiwang ang pagtatalaga na may kagalakan, may mga pagpapasalamat at may mga awitan, may mga pompiyang, mga salterio, at mga alpa.
28 Ang mga anak ng mga mang-aawit ay sama-samang nagtipon mula sa kapatagan ng palibot ng Jerusalem at mula sa mga nayon ng mga Netofatita;
29 at mula rin naman sa Bet-gilgal at mula sa mga bahagi ng Geba at ng Azmavet: sapagkat nagtayo para sa kanilang sarili ang mga mang-aawit ng mga nayon sa palibot ng Jerusalem.
30 At ang mga pari at ang mga Levita ay naglinis ng kanilang mga sarili; at nilinis nila ang taong-bayan at ang mga pintuan at ang pader.
31 Pagkatapos ay isinama ko ang mga pinuno ng Juda sa ibabaw ng pader, at humirang ng dalawang malaking pulutong na nagpasalamat at sunud-sunod na lumakad. Ang isa'y tumungo sa kanan sa ibabaw ng pader sa dako ng Pintuan ng Tapunan ng Dumi;
32 at sumusunod sa kanila si Hoshaias at ang kalahati sa mga pinuno ng Juda,
33 at sina Azarias, Ezra, Mesulam,
34 Juda, Benjamin, Shemaya, at Jeremias,
35 at ang iba sa mga anak ng mga pari na may mga trumpeta: si Zacarias na anak ni Jonathan, na anak ni Shemaya, na anak ni Matanias, na anak ni Micaya, na anak ni Zacur, na anak ni Asaf;
36 at ang kanyang mga kapatid na sina Shemaya, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Natanael, Juda, at si Hanani, na may mga kagamitang panugtog ni David na tao ng Diyos; at si Ezra na eskriba ay nasa unahan nila.
37 Sa Pintuang Bukal, sa harapan nila, ay umakyat sila sa pamamagitan ng mga baytang ng lunsod ni David, sa akyatan sa pader, sa ibabaw ng bahay ni David, hanggang sa Pintuan ng Tubig sa dakong silangan.
38 Ang isa pang pulutong ng mga nagpapasalamat ay nagtungo sa kaliwa, at ako'y sumunod sa hulihan nila na kasama ko ang kalahati ng taong-bayan, sa ibabaw ng pader, sa itaas ng Tore ng mga Pugon, hanggang sa Maluwang na Pader;
39 at sa ibabaw ng Pintuan ng Efraim, at sa tabi ng Matandang Pintuan at sa may Pintuan ng Isda, at sa Tore ng Hananel, at sa Tore ng Isandaan, hanggang sa Pintuan ng mga Tupa; at sila'y huminto sa Pintuan ng Bantay.
40 Kaya't ang mga pulutong na nagpasalamat ay parehong tumayo sa bahay ng Diyos, at ako at ang kalahati sa mga pinuno na kasama ko;
41 at ang mga paring sina Eliakim, Maasias, Miniamin, Micaya, Elioenai, Zacarias, at si Hananias, na may mga trumpeta;
42 at si Maasias, Shemaya, Eleazar, Uzi, Jehohanan, Malkia, Elam, at si Eser. At ang mga mang-aawit ay nagsiawit na kasama si Jezrahias bilang kanilang pinuno.
43 At sila'y naghandog ng malalaking alay nang araw na iyon, at nagalak, sapagkat sila'y pinagalak ng Diyos ng malaking pagkagalak. Ang mga babae at ang mga bata ay nagalak din. At ang kagalakan ng Jerusalem ay narinig hanggang sa malayo.
44 Nang araw na iyon ay hinirang ang mga lalaki upang mangasiwa sa mga silid para sa mga imbakan, sa mga ambag, sa mga unang bunga, at sa mga ikasampung bahagi, upang tipunin sa mga iyon ang mga bahaging itinakda ng kautusan para sa mga pari at sa mga Levita ayon sa mga bukid ng mga bayan; sapagkat ang Juda ay nagalak sa mga pari at sa mga Levita na naglingkod.
45 Kanilang(A) ginawa ang paglilingkod sa kanilang Diyos, at ang paglilingkod ng paglilinis, gaya ng ginawa ng mga mang-aawit at mga bantay-pinto, ayon sa utos ni David, at ni Solomon na kanyang anak.
46 Sapagkat sa mga araw ni David at ni Asaf nang una ay may pinuno ng mga mang-aawit, at may mga awit ng pagpupuri at pasasalamat sa Diyos.
47 Ang buong Israel sa mga araw ni Zerubabel at sa mga araw ni Nehemias ay nagbigay ng mga pang-araw-araw na bahagi sa mga mang-aawit at sa mga bantay-pinto, at kanilang itinalaga sa mga Levita; at ibinukod ng mga Levita ang para sa mga anak ni Aaron.
