4 As soon as I heard these words I (A)sat down and wept and mourned for days, and I continued fasting and praying before the (B)God of heaven.
25 (A)“So I lay prostrate before the Lord for these forty days and forty nights, because the Lord had said he would destroy you.
2 (A)Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help,when I (B)lift up my hands (C)toward your most holy sanctuary.[a]
8 I desire then that (A)in every place the men should pray, (B)lifting (C)holy hands without anger or quarreling;
13 But I, (A)when they were sick— I (B)wore sackcloth; I (C)afflicted myself with fasting;I prayed (D)with head bowed[a] on my chest.
41 And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and (A)knelt down and prayed,
22 Then Solomon (A)stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel and (B)spread out his hands toward heaven,
