New American Standard Bible 1995
13 then I stationed men in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, the [a]exposed places, and I (A)stationed the people in families with their swords, spears and bows. 14 When I saw their fear, I rose and spoke to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people: “(B)Do not be afraid of them; remember the Lord who is great and awesome, and (C)fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives and your houses.”
15 When our enemies heard that it was known to us, and that (D)God had frustrated their plan, then all of us returned to the wall, each one to his work.

Nehemiah 4:13-15
New International Version
13 Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows. 14 After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid(A) of them. Remember(B) the Lord, who is great and awesome,(C) and fight(D) for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
15 When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it,(E) we all returned to the wall, each to our own work.
