14 Malchijah the son of Rechab, ruler of the district of (A)Beth-haccherem, repaired (B)the Dung Gate. He rebuilt it and (C)set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

15 And Shallum the son of Col-hozeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah, repaired (D)the Fountain Gate. He rebuilt it and covered it and (E)set its doors, its bolts, and its bars. And he built the wall of (F)the Pool of Shelah of (G)the king's garden, as far as (H)the stairs that go down from the city of David. 16 After him Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, repaired to a point opposite (I)the tombs of David, as far as (J)the artificial pool, and as far as the house of the mighty men.

14 The Dung Gate was repaired by Malkijah son of Rekab, ruler of the district of Beth Hakkerem.(A) He rebuilt it and put its doors with their bolts and bars in place.

15 The Fountain Gate was repaired by Shallun son of Kol-Hozeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah. He rebuilt it, roofing it over and putting its doors and bolts and bars in place. He also repaired the wall of the Pool of Siloam,[a](B) by the King’s Garden, as far as the steps going down from the City of David. 16 Beyond him, Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of a half-district of Beth Zur,(C) made repairs up to a point opposite the tombs[b](D) of David, as far as the artificial pool and the House of the Heroes.
