9 Then I came to (A)the governors of the provinces beyond the River and gave them the king’s letters. Now (B)the king had sent with me officers of the army and horsemen. 10 When (C)Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite [a]official heard about it, it was very displeasing to them that someone had come to seek the welfare of the sons of Israel.

9 So I went to the governors of Trans-Euphrates and gave them the king’s letters. The king had also sent army officers and cavalry(A) with me.
10 When Sanballat(B) the Horonite and Tobiah(C) the Ammonite official heard about this, they were very much disturbed that someone had come to promote the welfare of the Israelites.(D)
