^47 (A)“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, ^(B)for the abundance of everything,

¹⁹ And it will be when you say, ^(A)‘Why does the Lord our God do all these things to us?’ then you shall answer them, ‘Just as you have ^(B)forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so ^(C)you shall serve aliens in a land that is not yours.’

^4 (A)Certainly not! Indeed, let ^(B)God be ^[a]true but ^(C)every man a liar. As it is written:

⁵ But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? ^(E)(I speak as a man.)

²¹ Then it shall be, ^(A)when many evils and troubles have come upon them, that this song will testify against them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten in the mouths of their descendants, for ^(B)I know the inclination ^(C)of their behavior today, even before I have brought them to the land of which I swore to give them.”

⁷ For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, ^(A)a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; ⁸ a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; ⁹ a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. ^10 (B)When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you.
