¹⁶ Indeed, I also continued the ^(A)work on this wall, and ^[a]we did not buy any land. All my servants were gathered there for the work.

⁹ And ^(A)let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap ^(B)if we do not lose heart.

⁵ For ^(A)neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a ^[a]cloak for covetousness—^(B)God is witness. ^6 (C)Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when ^(D)we might have ^(E)made demands ^(F)as apostles of Christ.

²⁰ For I have no one ^(A)like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state. ²¹ For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.

^58 (A)Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing ^(B)that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

³³ I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel. ^34 [a]Yes, you yourselves know ^(A)that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. ³⁵ I have shown you in every way, ^(B)by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

¹⁶ But be that as it may, ^(A)I did not burden you. Nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you by cunning! ¹⁷ Did I take advantage of you by any of those whom I sent to you? ¹⁸ I urged Titus, and sent our ^(B)brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not walk in the same spirit? Did we not walk in the same steps?

⁷ eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;

¹⁵ But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with ^(A)patience.^[a]
