⁶ So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.

¹³ for ^(A)it is God who works in you both to will and to do ^(B)for His good pleasure.

²¹ make you ^[a]complete in every good work to do His will, ^(A)working in ^[b]you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

The Wall Completed

¹⁵ So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of Elul, in fifty-two days.

³ Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver:

¹⁷ I know also, my God, that You ^(A)test the heart and ^(B)have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You. ¹⁸ O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the intent of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and fix their heart toward You.

¹⁶ But thanks be to God who ^[a]puts the same earnest care for you into the heart of Titus. ¹⁷ For he not only accepted the exhortation, but being more diligent, he went to you of his own accord.
