¹³ The Valley Gate^(A) was repaired by Hanun and the residents of Zanoah.^(B) They rebuilt it and put its doors with their bolts and bars in place. They also repaired a thousand cubits^[a] of the wall as far as the Dung Gate.^(C)

¹³ By night I went out through the Valley Gate^(A) toward the Jackal^[a] Well and the Dung Gate,^(B) examining the walls^(C) of Jerusalem, which had been broken down, and its gates, which had been destroyed by fire.

³⁰ Zanoah,^(A) Adullam^(B) and their villages, in Lachish^(C) and its fields, and in Azekah^(D) and its settlements. So they were living all the way from Beersheba^(E) to the Valley of Hinnom.

⁹ Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate,^(A) at the Valley Gate^(B) and at the angle of the wall, and he fortified them.
