⁴⁷ And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah gave the ^(A)daily portions for the singers and the gatekeepers; ^(B)and they set apart that which was for the Levites; ^(C)and the Levites set apart that which was for the sons of Aaron.

^6 (A)Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.

⁸ Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. ^(A)But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ ^(B)In your tithes and contributions. ^9 (C)You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. ^10 (D)Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby ^(E)put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open ^(F)the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

¹⁰ I also found out that ^(A)the portions of the Levites had not been given to them, so that the Levites and the singers, who did the work, had fled each ^(B)to his field. ^11 (C)So I confronted the officials and said, ^(D)“Why is the house of God forsaken?” And I gathered them together and set them in their stations. ¹² Then all Judah brought ^(E)the tithe of the grain, wine, and oil into the storehouses.

²⁶ These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua son of Jozadak, and in the days of ^(A)Nehemiah the governor and of ^(B)Ezra, the priest and scribe.

^12 (A)And in the days of Joiakim were priests, heads of fathers' houses: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

12 These are ^(A)the priests and the Levites who came up with ^(B)Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and ^(C)Jeshua: ^(D)Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

^23 (A)For there was a command from the king concerning them, and a fixed provision for the singers, ^(B)as every day required.

³⁵ We obligate ourselves ^(A)to bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit of every tree, year by year, to the house of the Lord; ³⁶ also to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God, the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, ^(B)as it is written in the Law, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks; ^37 (C)and to bring the first of our dough, and our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the wine and the oil, to the priests, ^(D)to the chambers of the house of our God; and to bring to the Levites the tithes from our ground, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our towns where we labor. ³⁸ And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes. And the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of ^(E)the storehouse. ³⁹ For the people of Israel and the sons of Levi ^(F)shall bring the contribution of grain, wine, and oil to the chambers, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, as well as the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. ^(G)We will not neglect the house of our God.”
